Three Flower Mound businesses have teamed up to become part of the solution of assisting those who need help with temporary housing.  The Shelter Fund raises funds to donate to non-profits that provide help to homeless families in southern Denton County.

Shelly Dodge, owner of Visionary Financial Group, John Fox, Loan Officer with First Mortgage, dba as Victory Mortgage, and Bari’s Pizza & Pasta each donate 20 percent of the lunch receipts (for a total of 60 percent) at Bari’s on the second Tuesday of each month. The money is awarded quarterly or as the proceeds allow.

On Aug. 19, Kim Cloud, founder of Cloud 9 Charities in Flower Mound, was presented with a check for Bedtime Rescue in the amount of $3,000.  Bedtime Rescue helps families in need of short term housing as identified by Lewisville ISD teachers. The check is approximately half of the total distributed by the non-profit last year, which will provide 100 nights of assistance. Shelter Fund’s lunch is held on the second Tuesday of each month at Bari’s Pizza & Pasta, 3472 Long Prairie Rd, Flower Mound.
